Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the JECA Weddings website and any services provided by DIANA ELIZABETH ZEPEDA GUERRERO (persona física con actividad empresarial) operating under the JECA Weddings brand (“JECA Weddings,” “we,” “us,” “our,” or “Servicios Turísticos JECA”). By using our website, requesting a quote, booking travel, or engaging our wedding planning or coordination services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1) Who We Are

JECA Weddings provides destination wedding planning, travel coordination, and related concierge services for events held in Mexico and other destinations. We act as an intermediary and coordinator between you and third-party suppliers, including (but not limited to) resorts, venues, airlines, transportation providers, and wedding vendors (“Suppliers”).

2) Scope of Services

Our services may include:

  • Destination wedding planning and coordination support
  • Resort recommendations and booking support
  • Group travel coordination for wedding guests
  • Site inspection visit coordination
  • Ceremony and event coordination support
  • Communication support with Suppliers

Important: Supplier services (lodging, flights, transportation, ceremony services, vendor services, etc.) are provided by Suppliers, not by JECA Weddings. Supplier terms and conditions apply in addition to these Terms.

3) Quotes, Pricing, and Availability

  • All prices are subject to change without prior notice until confirmed in writing and paid (in full or as otherwise required by the Supplier).
  • Quotes are based on availability at the time of quoting and may change until confirmed.
  • Prices may vary by season, occupancy, promotions, and Supplier policies.
  • If pricing is shown in USD, it may reflect Supplier pricing and/or an estimated conversion from MXN. Final amounts may differ due to Supplier rules, taxes, exchange rates, and bank processing or card issuer fees.

4) Promotions, Perks, and Hotel-Specific Benefits

Some promotions, perks, and group benefits (including, for example, room-night credits, complimentary nights, discounted site inspection stays, or group concessions) are offered only by participating hotels and are subject to:

  • availability,
  • the resort’s terms and policies, and
  • change without prior notice.

JECA Weddings does not guarantee that any specific perk will be available unless confirmed in writing by the Supplier at the time of booking.

5) Payments, Deposits, and Authorization

  • You agree to pay all amounts due according to the payment schedule provided at booking.
  • Deposits may be required and may be non-refundable depending on Supplier policies.
  • By providing payment information, you authorize JECA Weddings and/or the Supplier to charge your payment method for approved amounts, including deposits, balances, and any agreed-upon fees.

Chargebacks: You agree to contact us first to attempt resolution before initiating a chargeback. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in cancellation of services and/or recovery efforts to collect unpaid amounts.

6) Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

All cancellations, changes, and refunds are governed primarily by the applicable Supplier’s terms.

  • Cancellations may incur penalties up to and including 100% of total cost.
  • Changes (dates, names, room types, flight itineraries) may incur change fees and fare differences.
  • No refunds are provided for unused portions of travel (no-shows, late arrivals, early departures) unless Supplier rules allow.

JECA Weddings may charge a reasonable administrative fee for changes, re-booking, or custom coordination work, where permitted and disclosed.

7) Guest Bookings and Group Benefits

For group wedding benefits to apply, Suppliers require that guest reservations be tracked and booked through the official group process with our agency. If guests book outside the group channel (e.g., direct bookings, other agencies, or third-party sites), Supplier benefits may be reduced or forfeited.

8) Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate names as shown on passports/IDs and correct traveler details
  • Review confirmations, invoices, and itineraries promptly
  • Meet deadlines for payments, selections, and requested documents
  • Follow Supplier rules (check-in, conduct, dress codes, event timing, etc.)

JECA Weddings is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by you or your guests.

9) Passports, Visas, Health, and Entry Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you and your guests have:

  • valid passports,
  • visas (if required),
  • vaccination/health documentation (if required), and
  • compliance with customs/entry rules.

Requirements can change at any time. We recommend checking official government sources before travel.

10) Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance (and, if appropriate, wedding/event insurance) that may cover:

  • trip cancellations/interruption,
  • medical emergencies,
  • weather-related disruptions,
  • Supplier insolvency, and
  • other unforeseen events.

Declining insurance increases your risk of non-refundable losses.

11) Weather, Sargassum, Natural Conditions, and Force Majeure

Destination travel involves factors outside anyone’s control, including (but not limited to) weather events, hurricanes, tropical storms, sargassum/seaweed, ocean conditions, power outages, earthquakes, fires, pandemics, government actions, civil unrest, strikes, Supplier shutdowns, and transportation disruptions (“Force Majeure”).

JECA Weddings is not liable for Force Majeure impacts. Supplier policies will control refunds/rescheduling in these cases. We will assist with coordination when possible, but outcomes are not guaranteed.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • JECA Weddings is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or expense caused by any Supplier or Force Majeure event.
  • JECA Weddings is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to our services will not exceed the amount of fees you paid directly to JECA Weddings (excluding amounts paid to Suppliers), unless prohibited by law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

13) Supplier Responsibility and Third-Party Terms

Suppliers are independent contractors and not agents or employees of JECA Weddings. Supplier terms apply, including policies for:

  • cancellations and refunds,
  • deposits,
  • group benefits,
  • event timing and venue availability,
  • vendor exclusivity,
  • photography/videography rules,
  • outside vendor fees (e.g., day passes), and
  • on-site restrictions.

You agree to comply with Supplier terms.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JECA Weddings from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • your breach of these Terms,
  • your negligence or misconduct,
  • disputes with Suppliers, or
  • violation of any law or Supplier rule.

15) Intellectual Property

All site content (text, images, branding, logos) is owned by or licensed to JECA Weddings and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

16) Communications and Consent

You agree that we may contact you via email, phone, WhatsApp, or SMS regarding your inquiry, booking, or services. Standard messaging/data rates may apply.

17) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Jalisco, Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts located in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

18) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” indicates the latest version. Continued use of our website or services means you accept the updated Terms.

19) Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20) Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any written confirmations, invoices, Supplier terms, and applicable policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and JECA Weddings regarding your use of the website and services.
